This heater is designed to be used with a properly filled 8" minimum depth hard sided waterbed. If you have a soft side waterbed or a tube water bed this is the wrong heater. You can go to our website http://www.softsidedwaterbed.com to purchase the soft side waterbed heater.
- Place waterbed heater pad under mattress AND liner with printed side up.
- Do not plug into electrical outlet until the heater is under a full water mattress.
- Always unplug the temperature control unit from the electrical outlet before draining the mattress.
- Always use and store flat. Do not roll or fold heater pad.
- Place the heater and sensor fully under the mattress and liner as shown on the instructions printed on the heater pad.
- Place heater pad on flat, smooth surface free of nails or objects likely to cause damage.
- Unroll the heater pad and keep it flat when placed under the liner and mattress.
- Never pull heater by the supply cord.
- Use only with mattress type specified. Use only with 8” or more fill hardsided water bed.
- Do not use with an under-filld mattress.
- If user bottoms out on the heater pad damage to the pad, liner, mattress or individual may result. Example: Bottoming out may be caused by an improperly filled mattress.
- Sheets, blankets, bed linens or other objects or materials should not come in contact with the heater pad.
- Proper water mattress fill level is crucial to sleeping comfort and safe use of a watermattress. Fill the mattress. See instructions supplied with the mattress./ Test comfort level and to see that the user cannot bottom out on the heating pad. Add water as required. This is especially important on free-flow type watermattresses.
IMPORTANT: Safety Notice: Never let infants or physically challenged persons sleep on a water mattress. Infants 12 months or younger, or physically challenged persons, can suffocate while using this mattress when they become trapped between the mattress and frame or wall, become wedged against adult and mattress, or sink into mattress while on stomach. Physically challenged persons or anyone insensitive to heat or with poor blood circulation, may not be aware of contact with, or be able to move away from, the mattress heating system, possibility resulting in injury.
